  I recently had the misfortune of meeting Dr. Menendez while taking my brother to Good Samaritan hospital AKA U of A. he was sent there ASAP by the Cigna Urgent Care physician to have an MRI for a pertruded cervical disc in his neck..instead an X-Ray and a CT Scan were done and dr menendez was called in to look at his labs...his conclusion was that his lower back was shot and he needed his lower back fused then went into this HORRIBLE description of a surgery that he would have to make a HUGE 6-8 inch incision on his lower back then peel him open like an orange and they would have to seperate every verterbrea and fuse it and went on to say ahhh its too much!! your to young!! (my brother is 49) he says lets just get you pain meds and some back injection and get you in to physical therapy YOU DONT WANT THIS SURGERY HE STATED. I was in awww( as i had a back fusion surgery 8 years ago myself) I worked at Barrow Neurosurgery at St Joes with 21 NEUROSURGEON AND NEVER EVER EVER heard any of them talk to a patient the way this doctor spoke. He was Lazy.. never showed my brother his labs ...NEVER EVEN TOLD THE DOCTOR THERE IN THE E.R. what his diagnosis was!! what does he want to put my brother on many years of physical therapy and get him hooked on pain meds so he can get kick backs from pharmacutical reps!?! this is bullcrap.When we were checked out of E>R we were told to follow up with Dr menendez and my brother called his office three times and got transferred to different dept ALL DAY! and here we are 6 days later and still NO CALL to set him up with an appt..Im here complaining cause today ( a week later) we find out my brother ACTUALLY had a pertruded cervical disk in his neck and needs surgery ASAP. this Doctors visit was a joke and Im tired of people with power use it wrongfully. please BE AWARE! AND ALWAYS ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION AFTER LEAVING THIS OFFICE OR GETTING ANYKIND OF DIAGNOSIS FROM THIS MAN.
