  Terrible experience with this credit union!! I went in and opened an account with AZ Federal credit union and deposited my payroll check and some cash into my new account. I was told at that time that some new accounts have a 7 business day hold on checks but if it's a payroll check I simply would need to provide the paystub and the funds would be released within a matter of a few days. Well here we are on day 6 of the hold and I have no access to my money and cannot even buy groceries because they won't release my check or even partial funds even though I have now called numerous times explaining my situation. There is no reason the funds are being held. I work for a very large well known organization and for the funds to be held this long is a joke. I even called the issuing bank myself and they had no problem verifying the funds and said that AZ fed needed to just call them to clear it but when telling AZ fed this they simply refused. They are incredibly rude and insensitive about the whole situation. I can't even close my account until the funds clear but trust me when I say I will be closing the account and telling everyone I know to stay away from AZ Federal Credit Union!!
